Sour Ale brewed with Grains of Paradise & matured on Blackberries
Purpura is a sour ale that was matured in oak barrels with blackberries. Purpura pours with light golden in a color with a pinkish touch and a small off white head. The fruity character from the blackberries is balanced by a citrusy character from the grains of paradise & a refreshing acidity. Notes of wild yeast & oak lead to a very enjoyable finish.
Matured in several different oak barrels:Sangiovese casks for 8 monthsCabernet Sauvignon barrels for 12 months
