Sour Ale With Limes – 6.5% abv … Lumia pours dark amber in color with a small off white head. The acidity from the limes is balanced by a nice malty sweetness. Fruity notes from the wine barrel aging and a nice twang in the finish make for a very refreshing sour ale.

Thank you so much to all you spooky bookworms who came out for last week’s meeting of the OEC Occult & Horror Book Club! Here’s our next meeting’s info!

We’ll be discussing 2023’s Nestlings, by Nat Cassidy. Nestlings follows the story of a young couple and their newborn as they settle into a new apartment building where something doesn’t seem quite right. Lauded as part Rosemary’s Baby, part ‘Salem’s Lot,’ this one’s sure to send shivers down your spine!

Meet ✨Lumia✨

Lumia is an amber sour ale, matured in oak barrels on our limes from our citrus greenhouse. Lumia pours dark amber in color with a small, off-white head. The acidity from the limes is balanced by a nice malty sweetness. Fruity notes from the wine barrel aging and a nice twang in the finish make for a very refreshing sour ale.

Lumia is 6.5% abv and is available now for retail to-go in 16oz 4-packs. We look forward to putting Lumia on draft in the very near future!

Welcome back to school, all you gore-hounds, you lovers of schlock, you connoisseurs of practical monster effects and B/D/C/Z grade horror!

We’re thrilled to announce our next OEC Horror Movie Night, and our events coordinator, Chloe Vanessa @smug_pig_vintage is pairing up with Vinegar Syndrome @vinegarsyndrome again to bring you all the back to school thrills and chills of Pledge Night!

We’ll be starting the movie at 7:00 pm, but come early to grab a tasty OEC beer and shop with Vinegar Syndrome, who will have a table set up of merch & physical media!

Our taproom bar will be open and serving that day from 12 noon through to the end of the movie, so you’ll be able to continue ordering refreshments during the movie!

We are open this weekend our regular hours, however we do not encourage anyone from out of town to venture into Oxford just for beer. Quite a bit of our beautiful community is still treacherous or entirely impassible, including Route 67 (the main road through Oxford), and it would be irresponsible to encourage out of towners to venture into Oxford at this time.

HOWEVER, if you’re a local looking for a bit of respite from what you’re dealing with, a sliver of normalcy, we’re here.

Our hearts go out to all of the folks and businesses in our beloved community and surrounding communities who were affected by Sunday’s flash flooding.

We’re feeling extremely lucky and grateful that our property is located on a hill and that all our OEC Flea & Arts Market vendors and attendees were able to shelter in place with us until they felt safe making their way home in their own time.

We love you all, stay safe.

Finally! Our Oktoberfest is on draft in the OEC taproom! Just in time for the next OEC Horror Movie Night TOMORROW NIGHT!!!

We’ll be screening the 1960 original Little Shop of Horrors, which features one of Jack Nicholson’s earliest appearances on film!

We will start the screening at 8:30, but be sure to arrive early to grab yourself a beer and a good seat! We’ll have a Horror Movie Lovers “cocktail hour” prior to the movie, from 6pm - 8pm, for horror fans to get together, mingle, and chat about our mutual love of horror prior to the start of the film. The taproom will be open from 12pm through the end of the movie, so you’ll be able to discretely order beer and food during the movie!

We’ve got a new, beautiful sour we’re releasing this week that we can’t wait to introduce y’all to!

Meet Aura!
Aura is a blonde sour ale that was matured in oak barrels. The barrel aging brings out fruity notes reminscent of tangerines & nectarines. Aura pours light gold in color with a small white head. A dry finish with a refreshing acidity gives Aura a beautiful balance.

Matured in Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, & gin barrels between 9 & 12 months.

Aura is now available in the taproom in 16 oz four packs to go!

Did you know our fan-favorite, Galaxia, wasn’t even in her final form? She’s experienced an evolution recently, changing from an IPL to an IPA!

Galaxia is our coolshipped & open fermented southern hemisphere IPA. Dry hop, coolship & kettle additions with Australian & New Zealand hops give Galaxia a burst of citrus, passionfruit, and berries with a touch of tropical lime in the finish. An open fermentation combined with a touch of wheat & oats create a delightfully soft body. Deep golden in color with a fluffy white head, Galaxia is a cosmic delicacy.

Intense notes of peach, passionfruit, blackberry & a touch of lime in the finish.

Malts: Maris Otter Low Color, CaraPils, and a touch of Vienna
